Red Lobster, Intermark

Hello fellow foodies!

Did you have a good weekend? I sure did and I hope you guys did too! =)

So, as you all may or may not know...Red Lobster! A popular seafood restaurant from the USA has finally come to Malaysia! The first branch opened at the Intermark in September 2014.

I, for one am neither here nor there on seafood because I like crabs, prawns, scallops and obviously lobster but I can't stand raw salmon, oysters and fish cheeks. So...definitely a good thing that Red Lobster is famous for lobster rite! =P

Why the sudden visit to the seafood restaurant? Le bro decided to treat us out of the blue so who are we decline and by we, I mean the fam. Thanks bro for lunch!

It was pretty empty when we got there but it was lunch time and I would really go for lobster for dinner so acceptable I guess. It's a pretty big restaurant with ample sitting for big parties and they even have a small room for more private occasions. I'm not going to list out the food we ordered first like usual because there's just too many.

Let's do it by course shall we! First are the drinks! (Note: I won't comment on the drinks and food that I did not taste)

Watermelon Juice (RM11.90)

I ordered a watermelon juice which was pretty good. It had pulp, was good consistency and it wasn't too sweet!

Mojito Mocktail (RM16.50)

Caffe Latte (RM8.90)

Berry Mango (RM19.90)

Bahama Mama (RM19.90)

Other drinks included le dad's mojito mocktail, le second bro's caffe latte, le mum's berry mango and le third bro's bahama mama which I did not get to try.

On to the starters! If you order from their set lunch, it comes with a soup of your choice and brownies and ice cream for dessert!

Before the meal, you get a basket of Cheddar Bay Biscuits. Kinda like the bread with vinegar and olive oil you get at Italian restaurants. Weirdly enough, the biscuits were pretty good! Just remember to not eat too many of them since they're pretty filling and I'm sure you'd rather be hungry when the lobster arrives!

Lobster Bisque - cup (RM13.90)
The soups come in two sizes, a bowl of lobster bisque is RM23.50.

Le boyfriend and I shared a lobster bisque which was AWESOME! It was creamy and full of the taste of the sea! Definitely a good starter to a seafood meal! Absolutely love it!

Fried Mozzarella Cheese (RM26.90)

We also ordered a plate of mozzarella cheese sticks which were ok considering they were fried blocks of cheese. The sauce didn't really compliment them though.

Onion Rings (RM17.50)

Other than that, onion rings! The onion rings was pretty good as they were fresh and crispy.

Clam Chowder - cup (RM12.90)

My nephew got a cup of Clam Chowder for his lunch. Not really a fan of clam chowder so even if I tried it, it would be slightly biased. ._.

Now...finally we come to the main course! Are you ready for wipe your drool off your laptop? =P

Grilled Lobster, Shrimp & Scallops (RM116.50)

I ordered the Grilled Lobster, Shrimp & Scallops with pilaf rice. OMG guys! the prawns and the lobster were delicious and grilled to perfection! It tasted even better with the accompanied butter sauce! Sadly though, in contrary to the perfection of the grilled prawns and lobster, the pilaf rice and the scallops were disappointing. Even with the level of disappointment, I would still order this again. That's how good the prawns and lobster were!

Fish & Chips - Set A (RM39.90)

Le boyfriend on the other hand ordered the fish and chips which were kind of plain...let's just say that we've had better.

The rest of the fam ordered as followed.

Bar Harbour Lobster Bake (RM128)

Lobster & Steak Burger - Set B (RM89.90)

Bar Harbour Salad (RM31.50)

Seabass & Lobster - Set B (RM89.90)

Decadent Brownie

For dessert! We just stuck to the set meal brownies and ice cream as we were pretty full by the end of the meal. The brownies came hot which is good but they were kind of normal. Still a good choice for dessert if you're a chocolate lover!

My verdict? A great place for a seafood meal! Albeit a tad bit expensive but do expect it to be as it is an overseas brand and they sell seafood for peat's sake! Good, fresh seafood is expensive when eaten in the city. I would definitely come back for more. Be sure to book a table just in case of a full house!

That's it for this post!
Cheers!

Mad About Coco, Fahrenheit 88

Happy belated Valentines everyone!

I hope you all had a good Valentines! Mine was spent at home with too much fish head noodle soup! Hahaha! Don't get me wrong, we did have a plan for the day until we realised that every restaurant will probably jack up the prices and everywhere would be full.
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

^ I wrote that a month ago and I have no idea what I was going to write next anymore...=P

Anywayz! I finally got a chance to meet up with some of my friends that I met in Melbourne during my RMIT days! I hadn't tried Mad About Coco yet and was dying to try after le friend Jun said they had cronuts! *Can't find a decent cronut in Malaysia...le sigh*

Alright! Enough talking! Let's get to some photos!

We went to the branch at Fahrenheit 88. It is located on the 1st floor near the back if you're coming from the Bukit Bintang entrance. It's pretty spacious and it has a nice view of Bukit Bintang. The four of us grabbed a table at the back.

We noticed this stand with afro wigs and big funky glasses on the way in and guess what we did! XD

Man! That was so funny and fun at the same time! You gotta take some photos and selfies with them on when you go over!

On to the food! I obvious ordered the Magic Cronut and I also ordered a Chocolate Bomb drink a.k.a. hot chocolate. The girls ordered a Innocent Devil Tiramisu Ball cause we heard it's fun to play with...oops!...I mean eat! XD

Chocolate Bomb (RM12)

The drink came first! It was pretty cute with the frozen chocolate heart with the Mad About Coco Sticker at the top! It turned out to be one of those hot chocs where you get a block of chocolate and a cup of hot milk then you just stir the milk with the chocolate and PRESTO!! you have hot choc! My verdict? Meh...chocolate mixed with milk...not that impressive...

Magic Cronut (RM20)

Behold the magic cronut! with its shot of chocolate sauce and oreo crumble! My verdict? ABSOLUTELY TOO MUCH! The chocolate is super overpowering and made us super jelat! The cronut was also not flaky but hard...it was so hard to cut especially since there's cream in the middle...

Innocent Devil Tiramisu Ball (RM20)

Finally the Innocent Devil Tiramisu Ball! Presentation wise...pretty and following the latest trend I guess? You had to free the trapped tiramisu from the chocolate ball prison by helping the brownie soldiers pour the moulten chocolate onto the ball! It was pretty fun to watch the chocolate melt the ball in unique ways since each person pours differently. Taste wise? Nothing special...

I would say that Mad About Coco is one of those trendy chocolate cafes where you can get your bi-anual chocolate fix then get really sick of chocolate and avoid it for the next few months...thus why I say bi-anually. I probably won't go back again but good for a try and some joking quality time with wigs and friends! =)

Let me leave you guys with some chocolate doodles! Can you see the bike? That's it for this post!
Cheers!
